Small acts, big impacts.

Take a moment to ask, "How are you?" Take a moment to share, "I appreciate you." Most importantly, take a moment to say, "I love you." However small these acts may be, they may be the biggest thing to change someone's life.

Be well, be kind, be loved.

Proud to be me.

A little over five years ago, I made a decision to be honest with myself, my friends, my family, and with the rest of world. It may not have been the easiest decision to make, but it was arguably the best decision I have ever made. I remember the first people I called: Karen, Wendy, and Alice. I remember being really scared and being really nervous. I remember not being able to speak, which if you know me, doesn't happen often. I could barely mutter the words. but they each reassured me that I am who I am and they loved me for it.

With each person I shared, it became easier and I became happier. I am so thankful for this blessed life I've been given. I am so thankful for those who encouraged me and empowered me to be my true authentic self. And most importantly, I am so thankful for all my friends and family who have showered me with love and support over the years.

I had the great joy and privilege of attending my first Pride event, Houston Pride, this past weekend with friends. For the first time in my life, I blended in, even with the rainbow hair! I got to witness a beautiful community of love and pride.

Today, I adorn these colours proudly, and am proud to say, "I am gay."

PS, please direct all negativity and hate towards the trash. //
